History and Credentials Bob Holbein began his construction business over 30 years ago. He has earned an excellent reputation in the Sarver area as an honest and fair contractor. The company has grown into a full scale operation. Holbein, Inc. is a versatile company with industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal customers alike. We have a complete line of excavating trucks and construction equipment and are able to complete almost any type of civil construction. All employees have completed the OSHA 10 hour Construction Safety Course and are safety certified. We are fully insured and bonded and are a member of the Allegheny Valley Chamber of Commerce, SIMA (Snow and Ice Management) , Building Trades Association.

Bob Holbein, President / Owner, began his construction business over 30 years ago. He has earned an excellent reputation as an honest and fair contractor. Whether Bob is presented with a request for a small driveway or a complete site development, he skillfully plans and lays out the project from onset to completion. He is well versed in all areas of construction and keeps up with the latest technology. Within the past few years Bob has integrated GPS and laser technology. With Bob’s years of experience, he has helped his company grow from a small, two man operation into a full scale business employing 50 or more people during the busy season. Holbein, Inc. became incorporated in 1994.
Bruce DiGiacobbe, Holbein Inc.’s Special Projects Superintendent, has been with us for over 20 years. His vast knowledge of heavy construction qualifies him to offer insight on all areas of excavation and site work. He specializes in water and gas lines and is certified by PUR to install natural gas service lines. He oversees many other special projects and also responds to customers’ emergency needs.
Our Asphalt Superintendent, Dan Housekeepers, has 41 years of experience in the asphalt field including the past 10 years with Holbein, Inc. He has the ability and know how to complete any asphalt paving job. Dan can provide you with design, specs, and pricing for your specific needs. Of course, Dan’s abilities are not limited to residential driveways. His experience includes municipal, residential, and commercial paving.
Jethro Claxon, is our Tar and Chip / Asphalt Maintenance Superintendent. He has been with Holbein, Inc. since 2003. Jethro is the person to call when you are looking for tar and chip paving, asphalt seal coating, and line striping. His 19 years of experience in his field enable him to provide you with excellent service.
Kurt Buday is our Special Projects Foreman. He is our “go to guy” on our various projects. Kurt’s skills run the gamut from simple repair jobs to water and sewer line installation and repairs. His experience with electrical projects, welding, and construction makes Kurt our choice when we need to “git-r-done”. Kurt has been with our company since 2005.
